The Steklo X-Stand is one of the most compact, lightweight, yet sturdy laptop stands out there.
Its simplistic yet amazing design makes it perfect for most purposes, as you can easily and quickly fold or unfold it wherever you go, weighs less than half a pound, and its “open” design allows for better airflow for the laptop, which comes in handy for people that use their laptop extensively (Such as hardcore gaming for several hours straight).
It is not the most ergonomic laptop stand out there, as you can only raise the stand an inch or two off the surface, but for many situations and for many people, this is quite enough.

With a weight of only 0.45 pounds and a length (Folded) of 6.3 inches, you can carry the Steklo X-Stand in your suitcase or in the laptop bag anywhere you go. Only the Roost stand weighs a little less than that and it costs three times as much.
- STURDY AND FITS MOST MODELS.
Built of premium quality aluminum, and despite its small compact size, this stand offers a great deal of stability and security to your device on top.
The stand is said to fit all laptop models that are between 12 – 17″ screen size.
- GREAT VENTILATION CAPABILITIES.
This stand is open in every direction.
The way it is designed allows the airflow in and out of your device much more easily than if it was stuck to the table all the time. It’s quite a smart design.
- MODERATELY ERGONOMIC.
And I said “moderately” because it only allows for a few inches of height adjustment (About 2 inches), and that’s about all the ergonomy that it offers.
For some this is enough, but for me, I would have rathered a more versatile stand if I’m going to invest in a good laptop stand for long-term use.
But that’s just me!
Final Thoughts.
The Steklo X-Stand offers a great deal of portability, while still offering sturdiness and durability.
With a price of $20-$23 on Amazon and over 500 happy customers, one can be sure that it’s a smart and high-quality product. You just need to make sure that it fits your needs.
If you need a stand to carry your laptop to bed with you, or to be able to work on the sofa in the living room, this stand wouldn’t give you this luxury.
If you need a more versatile laptop stand, with better ergonomy that also offers tilting of the keyboard and more freedom with height adjustment, you might want to look elsewhere.
However …
If you feel that an inch or two off of your working surface is sufficient for you, and you’re looking for the most portable and compact stand for your laptop for easier and faster handling if you travel a lot, or if you’re a hardcore gamer or use heavy graphical and sound software that is known to overload your laptop and potentially overheat it over time, then the Steklo X-Stand with an affordable price of ~$20 could be just the stand that you need.
